ROTARY CLUB OF PUNE INSPIRA , A SUCCESS  STORY PAR EXCELLENCE

Rotary Club of Pune Inspira (RCPI) is an exclusive Rotary Club for female entrepreneurs and corporate executives.

It is worth noting that , out of over 34,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide (with over 1.2 million members spread across over 200 countries), only about  0.5% are all-ladies Clubs.

RCPI was formed on 29/06/2015 , in Rotary International District 3131 at Pune, India ; and started functioning in the Rotary-year 2015-16 , from 01/07/2015.  It had 45 charter members and the number is steadily rising. The average age group of RCPI is less than 40 years. The Club was fully functional within a short period of 30 days , thanks to the able guidance provided by their GSR (Governor’s Special Reprentative), Rtn.Past President Arun Sathe from Rotary Club of Poona.

Rtn.Arun realized the full potential of such a Club, under the progressive initiative of Women’s Empowerment, and formulated the original idea single-handedly ; which was promptly and strongly supported by Rotary Club of Poona(the sponsoring Club for RCPI)and District Governor(2014-14) of RID-3131, Rtn Vivek Aranha.

The idea itself could not have flourished alone --- it received the creative support from Ms.Sharmila Jain-Oswal who mobilized the social fraternity and got the ladies involved actively --- special credit to RCPI’s President, Rtn.Shobha Nahar; Vice President, Rtn.Pienaal Waankhaday; Secretary,Rtn.Kalyanee Umrani and the Board of Directors.

The new all-ladies Club , where all the members are entreprenuers/professionals , was installed by District Governor of Rotary District NO. 3131 , Rtn Subodh Joshi on 10 August 2015.

Very quickly , RCPI has emerged as the cynosure of all eyes through the praise-worthy social projects and social interaction.  Overnight , the Inspirians have become the page-3 personalities and are being invited to all business and professional forums. Through their innovative, progressive and positive approach ; they are operating very well in the  high visibility arena of public life at Pune , and are progressing fast along their noble drive of doing something worthwhile for the society. The Inspirians are a group of highly talented and committed ladies , who were already doing a lot for the society , quite on their own , even before joining the Rotary Organisation.

Their aspirations include adopting a village and making it  a  clean, literate , modern and self-reliant habitat.   There are several other creative projects under conception and rapid work has already been initiated.

RCPI is already ahead of several established Clubs and is destined to become a shining example of prudent  and innovative thinking.
